The Blind Side is a 2009 American semi-biographical drama film. It is written and directed by John Lee Hancock, and based on the 2006 book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis. The storyline features Michael Oher, an offensive lineman who plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. The film follows Oher from his impoverished upbringing, through his years at Wingate Christian School (a fictional representation of Briarcrest Christian School in the suburbs of Memphis, Tennessee), his adoption by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, and on to his position as one of the most highly coveted prospects in college football. For her performance, Sandra Bullock won the Academy Award for Best Actress, as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role. The film itself also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.

They not only provide him with a loving home, but hire a tutor to help him improve his grades to the point where he would qualify for an NCAA Division I athletic scholarship. Michael Oher was the first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2009 NFL draft.

Review

It is a great heartfelt feel-good film based on a true story. Besides, great performances from the lead character and Sandra Bullock adds a touch of charm to her role. Plenty of fun light-hearted moments along the way. A story that will keep your interest to the very end. Nice touch to see the photos of the real people the story is about at the credits.

What ensues is the kind of entertaining uplift Hollywood does best, its dramatic elements leavened by frequent moments of comedy (mostly at the hands of Leigh Anne's precocious youngest son, played by Jae Head) and stirring sports sequences. This make the film much more interesting and superior from normal types of family movie.

This movies have a very good edited storyline. It is touching. It tell us there are existences of such kind people in the world. They will not care about the cost, either the effort in order to help some needy and lost children.

The Lion King

The Lion King is a 1994 American animated musical adventure film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 32nd feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. The story takes place in a kingdom of anthropomorphic lions in Africa, and was influenced by the biblical tales of Joseph and Moses, and the William Shakespeare play Hamlet. The film was produced during a period known as the Disney Renaissance.

Plot

In the Pride Lands of Africa, a lion rules over the other animals as king. As king Mufasa shows the lands to his son Simba, he tells him that Simba cannot go to a shadowy place beyond the borders. Later that day, Simba's envious uncle Scar tells him that the shadowy place is in fact an elephant graveyard. Simba's curiosity is piqued, and he convinces his best friend Nala, a female lion cub, to come with him. At the graveyard, the cubs are attacked by three spotted hyenas, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed, before Mufasa rescues them. The hyenas are in fact friends of Scar, who then plots with them to take over the Pride Lands.

At the Pride Lands, Simba confronts Scar on Pride Rock. Scar backs Simba up to the end of Pride Rock to the point where Simba slips over the edge, dangling by his paws. Scar taunts him and then whispers that he killed Mufasa. The enraged Simba leaps back up and pins Scar, forcing his uncle to reveal the truth to the other lions. A fight ensues between the hyenas and lionesses while Simba chases and confronts Scar alone at the top of Pride Rock. Sometime later, Pride Rock is restored to its former glory and Simba looks down happily at his kingdom with Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa by his side

Review

The reason the film is so good is that it includes a deep, emotionally story that feels more like an animated, animal populated version of a Greek tragedy. Disney always fills their films with catchy, well-written songs and practically every one of them was a memorable hit (Circle of life, Hakuna Matata, Can you feel the love tonight). However, the dark nature of the story is what really struck me as impressive with this film because it was not something Disney had been used to. The subject of Scar killing his brother right in front of Simba, then making Simba think it was his fault and trying to kill his nephew so he could take over Pride rock is considerably more mature than past Disney films.

Step Up 3D (2010)

Step Up 3D (also known as Step Up 3) is a 2010 American 3D dance film written by Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer and directed by Step Up 2: The Streets's Jon Chu. The sequel sees the return of Adam Sevani and Alyson Stoner, who portrayed Moose from Step Up 2 the Streets and Camille Gage from Step Up, respectively.
As the third installment in the Step Up trilogy, and the first shot in 3D, the film follows Moose and Camille Gage as they head to New York University, the former dancer of whom is majoring in electrical engineering after promising his father that he would not dance anymore. However, he soon stumbles upon a dance battle, meeting Luke Katcher and his House of Pirates dance crew and later teaming up with them to compete in the World Jam dance contest against their rival, the House of Samurai dance crew.

Plot

A tight-knit group of New York City street dancers, including Luke (Malambri) and Natalie (Vinson), team up with NYU freshman Moose (Sevani), and find themselves pitted against the world's best hip hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.

Review

Dance speaks in a way that words never can. It is an expression of passion, elegance and emotion. I am really in love with the dance and battle scene of the movie. It's a contemporary movie musical that makes you feel genuinely sky-high and the director did make an effort in choreography. The exciting dance scene makes this film worth watching.

However, the 3D effect is not very good and fluent. The actions of the dance are too fast, and thus the 3D effect makes people feel tired or even faint. Moreover, the plot, the script, and (for the most part) the acting are weak. But, as you know, it is not what the film focus on.

In conclusion, if you are someone who keen on dancing, you must watch Step-up 3D. If not, you can still find that dancing is so stlish and beautiful.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, commonly referred to as Eclipse, is a 2010 American romantic fantasy film based on Stephenie Meyer's 2007 novel, Eclipse. It is the third installment of The Twilight Saga film series, following 2008's Twilight and 2009's New Moon. Summit Entertainment greenlit the film in February 2009. Directed by David Slade, the film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, reprising their roles as Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black, respectively. Melissa Rosenberg, who penned the scripts for both Twilight and New Moon, returned as screenwriter.

Plot

Victoria attacks and bites Riley Biers, in order to begin creating an army of newborns set to destroy Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). Back in Forks, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Bella discuss the complications of becoming an immortal vampire. At 18 years old, one year older than the age Edward was when he became a vampire, Bella expresses her aversion to the idea of marrying so young, though Edward refuses to turn her until they are married and she's had various human experiences she would otherwise miss. While Charlie Swan (Billy Burke) investigates the disappearance of Riley Biers, Edward suspects his disappearance was caused by the newborn vampires. Furthering his suspicions is the intrusion of Riley into Bella's room.

Victoria eventually finds Bella's hiding spot, and Edward kills her while Seth kills Riley. The Cullens and the Quileute wolves, meanwhile, destroy her "army", though Jacob is injured saving Leah Clearwater from a newborn. Several members of the Volturi arrive to deal with the newborn army. They also see that the Cullens are guarding the newborn, Bree Tanner (Jodelle Ferland), who had refused to fight and surrendered to Carlisle. Jane (Dakota Fanning) tortures Bree to get information, then instructs Felix to kill her, despite the Cullens' efforts to spare her. When Jane notes that Caius will find it interesting that Bella is still human, Bella informs her that the date for her transformation has been set. Bella visits the injured Jacob to tell him that even though she is in love with him, she has chosen to be with Edward. Saddened by her choice, Jacob reluctantly agrees to stop trying to come between her and Edward.

Review

Eclipse is the third book of four in the Twilight Saga. A third film usually doesn't get this type of publicity or this response from the crowd. That fact says something important about the twilight films, they're fabulous. Each film seems to get better and better. Being a twi-hard fan I was personally dissatisfied by the first film, liked the second, and absolutely loved the third. There was romance in Eclipse but not nearly as awkward as the prior two films. The action was just as amazing. In one scene in Eclipse there is an intense battle, not a single audience member could tear their eyes away from the screen.

Evan Almighty

Evan Almighty is a 2007 American religious comedy film and the stand-alone sequel to Bruce Almighty (2003). The film was directed by Tom Shadyac, written by Steve Oedekerk, and starring Steve Carell as the title character. Morgan Freeman reprised his role as God from the original film.

Plot

Buffalo newsman Evan Baxter is elected to Congress with the slogan, "Change the world." He lucks into a huge house in a new Virginia suburb. His Capitol office is also fantastic, but there's a catch: he's tapped by the powerful Congressman Long to co-sponsor a bill to allow development in national parks. In steps God, who appears to a disbelieving Evan and gently commands him to build an ark. Tools and wood arrive in Evan's yard, animal pairs follow, his beard and hair grow wildly, nomad's clothes and a staff appear. Long grows impatient, Evan starts building, his family leaves him, reporters gather, and drought grips D.C. Still, Evan believes. But will he change the world?

Review

Compare to the original film, Bruce Almighty, Evan Almighty a more glossy, family-oriented film. The film reflected some environmental themes of how humans are stewards of Gold's creation.
Although the story is only an imagination and a copy of an event in Bibles , it taught us to prepare for any dangers before it was too late.

The intouchables

The Intouchables is a French film directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano. In just nine weeks after its release in France on 2 November 2011 it became the second most successful French film of all time (in number of spectators) in the French box office, behind the 2008 film Welcome to the Sticks.

Plot

The Intouchables tells the true story of the improbable friendship between Philippe, a wealthy tetraplegic who lost his wife and mobility in an accident, and Driss, a young good-humored Senegalese descent, hire by Philippe to be his caretaker. Their bond proves the power and omniscience that love and friendship can hold over all social and economic differences.

Review

The Intouchables is not a masterpiece. It is neither a beautiful or intelligence film, but it is one of the most emotionally engaging film I have ever seen. This film told a true story between two man from two different backgrounds. The character of Philippe states that he chose to employ Driss as he knew that a young man from the estates would not pity him, and it is the film’s lack of pity that makes it so successful. Fundamentally, the two men represent two groups of French society who experience prejudice, but neither character is presented in a way that leads the viewer to pity them. They joke and taunt each other over their situations in life, making a mockery of the prejudices in French society and leading the viewer to adore their unusual relationship.

Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 is a 2010 American 3D computer-animated comedy-adventure film, and the third installment in the Toy Story series. It was produced by Pixar and released by Walt Disney Pictures.Toy Story 3 was also the first film to be released theatrically with 7.1 surround sound.

Plot

Andy is now seventeen years old and is going to college. His mother presses him to decide the fate of his toys, and Andy decides to leave them in the attic, with the exception of Woody that he intends to bring with him. However Andy's mother donates them by accident to the Sunnyside Daycare. The toys are welcomed by Lotso Bear but sooner they discover that the children mistreat them. Further, they are imprisoned in the daycare by Lotso and his gang. But Woody discovers the intention of the evil bear and returns to the daycare to organize the escape of his friends.

Review

The visuals in this film are fantastic. The opening sequence has Woody, Buzz, and Jessie trying to stop Hamm and Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head from robbing a train. This fantasy sequence included stunning visual and sound effects, including Buzz's rescue of a train that falls off of a bridge after an explosion. This scene is a great example of the fun and excitement film brings.

After an engaging and instantly charming opening courtesy of Andy's imagination, we are presented with a wonderfully modern showcasing of the passage of time. Immediately identifiable for parents and teens, Arnt shows us just how much things have changed for the toys due to Andy's age. It also depicts, rather humorously, at what lengths the toys will go just to be held by their owner again. Yes, their feet are still marked with his familiar black marker scrawl, but he just doesn't seem to care for them anymore. The scene is truly touching and, with characters this familiar, a remarkable feat to pull off without any been-there-before feelings. Then, when there is no hope in being played with again, the toys - unified by Woody's undying love for Andy - prepare themselves for life in the attic. Their commitment, their love for Andy and for each other is where the center of this film lies.

The film shows how the toys think about their owners and their feeling when playing with the owners. Although it is an imagination of the scenario, it is true that we ignore the feeling of the toys that play along with us in our chlidhood. It is time to reflect on ourself when we leaves our toys after spending several minutes on them.

Mao's last dancer (2009)

Mao's Last Dancer is a 2009 Australian biographical film, directed by Bruce Beresford, based on ballet dancer Li Cunxin's autobiography Mao's Last Dancer. Li Cunxin is portrayed by Birmingham Royal Ballet Principal Dancer Chi Cao, Australian Ballet dancer Cheungwu Guo and Huang Wen Bin. The film also stars Bruce Greenwood, Kyle MacLachlan, Joan Chen, Wang Shuangbao and Amanda Schull.

Plot

A drama based on the autobiography by Li Cunxin. At the age of 11, Li was plucked from a poor Chinese village by Madame Mao's cultural delegates and taken to Beijing to study ballet. In 1979, during a cultural exchange to Texas, he fell in love with an American woman. Two years later, he managed to defect and went on to perform as a principal dancer for the Houston Ballet and as a principal artist with the Australian Ballet.

Review

As readers of Li Cunxin’s very popular book will know, MAO’S LAST DANCER is the inspirational story of a boy born in poverty in a village in China’s Shandong province who grows up to become an internationally famous ballet star before defecting to the West.

Li is played at different stages of his life by three actors, eventually by CHI CAO, and his story, as scripted by Jan Sardi and directed by Bruce Beresford, is unquestionably an enthralling one. It’s a pity that the clichés inherent in the material haven’t been completely eliminated. Basically, it’s a typical rags to riches story, with some captivating dance sequences, and some rather obvious suspense, thrown in.

Performances are generally good, but Bruce Greenwood, as Houston’s artistic director, rather overplays his part. Poor Elizabeth is given short shrift given that she’s the reason for Li’s defection.
These quibbles aside, there’s a lot to enjoy in the film; it’s very efficiently made, and though never totally inspiring, it’s eminently watchable.

The Avengers (2012)

The Avengers (released as Marvel Avengers Assemble in the UK and Ireland) is a 2012 American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is the sixth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was written and directed by Joss Whedon and features an ensemble cast, which includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, and Samuel L. Jackson. In The Avengers, Nick Fury, director of the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D., recruits Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, and Captain America to form a team. The group must stop Thor's brother Loki from destroying Earth.

Trailer:

Plot:

Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. He brings together a team of super humans including Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his army, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster.

Review:

It is a good film, but not as good as I expected. It is because the films need to express the images of five heros. It cannot focus on a specific character. If we have not watched the related movie of The Avengers, we cannot know the exact personality and the image.

However, the cast does a great job in order to make these iconic characters to life, beginning with Robert Downey Jr. Unlike Iron Man 2, Downey plays Stark almost effortlessly and perfectly. He allows his charm and humor to shine in the movie. The film provides the audiences with many incredible battle scenes. Moreover, the play by Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth provides the film's many funny moments. After being seriously underutilized in Iron Man 2, Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow is provided a more detailed background, which helps in developing the character and provides an opportunity to prove she is much more than just a pretty face.

If any character appeared to stand out a little bit more than the others, for me it was the Hulk. Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury is able to show the full image and personalty of the Hulk. He slides quite easily into the role.

The movie tells us even Hero cannot work alone, they need teammates. Moreover, from the play of The Captain America, I know that leadership is a great power, even greater than the physical power.

Midnight in Paris

Midnight in Paris is a 2011 romantic comedy film written and directed by Woody Allen. The plot centers on a small group of Americans visiting the French capital for business and pleasure. The protagonist, a screenwriter, is forced to confront the shortcomings of his relationship with his fiancée and their divergent goals due to his magical experiences in the city beginning each night at midnight.

Plot

Gil and Inez travel to Paris as a tag-along vacation on her parents' business trip. Gil is a successful Hollywood writer but is struggling on his first novel. He falls in love with the city and thinks they should move there after they get married, but Inez does not share his romantic notions of the city or the idea that the 1920s was the golden age. When Inez goes off dancing with her friends, Gil takes a walk at midnight and discovers what could be the ultimate source of inspiration for writing. Gil's daily walks at midnight in Paris could take him closer to the heart of the city but further from the woman he's about to marry.

Review

Midnight in Paris is one of the most successful films of Woody Allen’s career thus far. The film begins with a montage of photos of the ever beautiful and timeless Paris. For approximately four minutes, there is absolutely no dialogue, but rather instrumentals being played over the displayed images of the city’s most attractive, tourist-visited spots. This enables the viewer to really get a feel for Paris and its beauty. As the movie progresses, it’s evident that Gil and Inez have less in common and spend their time in Paris with others, Gil with Adriana and Inez with Paul.

The overall message of this charming fantasy becomes clear during one of the most captivating final scenes, when Gil and Inez break things off. Allen expresses that nostalgia is a trap and without art or romance, life is not lived to the utmost. Although the film takes place in the city of love, lust or love at first sight is not the recipe for a long lasting relationship.

Spiderman

Spider-Man is a 2002 American superhero film directed by Sam Raimi and written by David Koepp. Based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, the film stars Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker, a high-school student who turns to crimefighting after developing spider like powers.

Plot

On a school field trip, Peter Parker (Maguire) is bitten by a genetically modified spider. He wakes up the next morning with incredible powers. After witnessing the death of his uncle (Robertson), Parkers decides to put his new skills to use in order to rid the city of evil, but someone else has other plans. The Green Goblin (Dafoe) sees Spider-Man as a threat and must dispose of him. Even if it means the Goblin has to target Parker's Aunt (Harris) and the girl he secretly pines for (Dunst)

Review

Tobey Maquire, while wildly questioned and almost literally spat upon by Spidey comic book loyalists when he won the sought after role, is perfect as he brings the webslinger to life in an astounding manner. With Maguire, it's all in the eyes. He can tell a story without uttering a word. As Peter Parker, graduating high school student and the much picked upon class nerd, Maguire makes you feel every bit of ridicule he undergoes. He draws you into his world, the world where his best friend is also an outcast, the love of his life - Mary Jane - lives next door but hasn't a clue how he feels, and where he's raised in a loving home by an elderly aunt and uncle whose very embrace sets the world aright.

BATTLESHIP

A fleet of ships is forced to do battle with an armada of unknown origins in order to discover and thwart their destructive goals.

Battleship is a 2012 American science fiction action naval war film based on the game of the same name. The film was directed by Peter Berg and released by Universal Pictures. The film stars Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgård, Brooklyn Decker, Rihanna, and Liam Neeson.

Official Website: http://www.battleshipmovie.com/

Plot
Peter Berg ('Hancock') produces and directs 'Battleship,' an epic action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Based on Hasbro's classic naval combat game, 'Battleship' stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper's fiancee; Alexander Skarsgard as Hopper's older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper's crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone's superior (and Sam's father), Admiral Shane.

Review

A short brief of Battleship is the responsibility of a small Navy team off the coast of Hawaii to save the world. I like the attitude of the film that gives such a big responsibility on the main character, Stone Hopper, who is supposed to be a uselss and hopeless man.
There are a lot of critical reception on the film. For example, there was a lack of character development and memorable action shots But if we just consider the whole story and the visual effect matter, it is a truely good movie. I love how Hopper lost his mind after his brother's death. He tried to use the little ship power to fight against the warship of aliens. It teached us that no matter how little our power is, we still have the right to fight. (despite the action of him is considered to be mad). It also teached us that we have to think twice to take an action.

Inception - Your mind is the scene of crime

Inception (2010)

"Your mind is the scene of crime"

Plot

But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Review

Once the film ends, I want to watch it again, since there's something new every time. This is a film that requires multiple viewing for someone to truly comprehend the film's ambiguous themes, and will be discussed by many in the future. This is an original film, no adaptation, no sequel/prequel, no remake/reboot.

“The Interpretation of Dreams” sounds impossible, but when people do can control their dream, it will be the source of their laziness and their way to escape from reality. In reality, we cannot dominate ourselves, all our activities and the events in dream are governed by our subconscious. However, if we do can control and create everything we want in dream just like what is happening in the movie, we may not want to exit from it. It is because the greediness of human. In the movie, Cobb and his wife created a city for themselves to live in the dream. They have everything they desire and want. They want to avoid from any problem and difficulties in real world. Finally and terribly, his wife even cannot distinguish the real world from the dream.

The accomplishments of “Inception” are mainly technical, which is faint praise only if you insist on expecting something more from commercial entertainment. “Inception” as a masterpiece, just as the desire for a certifiably great superhero movie led to the wild overrating of “The Dark Knight.”

The Matrix

The Matrix is a 1999 American science fiction action movie. written and directed by Larry and Andy Wachowski. The film stars Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Joe Pantoliano, and Hugo Weaving, and was first released in the United States on March 31, 1999. The success of the film led to the release of two feature film sequels, and the Matrix franchise was further expanded through the production of comic books, video games, and animated short films.

Plot

Computer programmer Thomas Anderson is secretly a hacker known as "Neo". He is restless, and driven to learn the meaning of cryptic references to the "Matrix" appearing on his computer. A female hacker named Trinity confirms that a man named Morpheus can help him; however, three sinister Agents, led by Agent Smith, arrest Neo and attempt to prevent him from meeting with Morpheus. Finally, Neo meets with Morpheus and agrees to follow him by swallowing an offered red pill. Neo abruptly awakens in a liquid-filled vessel, connected along with thousands of other people to an elaborate electrical structure. He is rescued by Morpheus and brought aboard a levitating ship called the Nebuchadnezzar.

Review

This classic action film stars Keanu Reeves as a lowly computer programmer who discovers his entire existence in the world is nothing but a simulation in a computer. This concept- reality within reality is done before. The Matrix requires absolute attention from his audience, least you'll be completely lost in a few minutes. With the help of supporting cast members Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Anne-Moss, Reeves discovers that inside this simulation environment known as The Matrix, he can control, bend, and manipulate space-time. The slow-motion "bullet-time" effects is one of the most famous scene in the film.  This is a movie that makes you think, makes you gasp, and makes totally forget where the 136-minutes went after finishing it.

Titanic

The day of April 15, 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. And a 3D version of Titanic was re-released on April 4, 2012. The original version of Titanic is produced in 1997  to commemorate the centenary of the tragedy.

Plot
In 1996, treasure hunter Brock Lovett and his team  discovered the story of Rose Dawson Calvert, a passenger believed to have died in the sinking. Rose met Jack Dawson on the ship. Although they come from different classes, they fall in love with each other. However, Jack died in the accident to save Rose. Rose goes alone to the stern of Lovett's ship. There she takes out the Heart of the Ocean, which has been in her possession all along, and drops it into the ocean. While seemingly asleep in her bed, the photos on her dresser are a visual chronicle that she lived a free life inspired by Jack.
 Review
Titanic is a good film that was catipulted into becoming a great, best picture winning film. There will be no doubt that Titanic is one of the best romantic movie in the history. The true love between Rose and Jack really touched me . I remember the first time I have seen this movie was 15 years ago, the most memorible dialogue was ' You jump, I jump'. However, after the second time of watching this movie, I just found that ' My name is Rose, Rose Dawson." This dialogue gives me a deep impression.

I have a feeling it will be many more years before we see such cinematic gold like this again from the studio system. However, I do hope that if and when Hollywood tries something like this again, it will remember that the real power behind this particular film, has little to do with the effects or the money. For "Titanic" is nothing without the story, and without the real meaning and importance Cameron lovingly devotes, in almost every scene, to using uniquely filmic techniques to tell such a story in the way only the art of cinema still seems capable of doing. "Titanic" is, in the highest sense of the word, not merely great entertainment, but great art.
